Google Pixel 3 is the first entry that feels a match for the iPhone XS and Samsung Galaxy S9. Google Pixel 3 has an excellent camera. This Google’s Android is one of the best Androids. It has much improved design. It has a breathtaking camera on both front and back sides of the phone. The smartphone also has wireless charging and clever Pixel Stand.

Google Pixel 3 doesn’t possess facial unlocking and can also easily scratches. Its Prices starts from £739/$799 for the 64GB model and £839/$899 for the 128GB version. It is a 5.5 inch FHD+ display smartphone. It runs Snapdragon 845 with a 4GB RAM. The smartphone possesses a single 12.2 mega pixel camera on the rear side f the phone. This phone is a worthy rival to leading Android like the Samsung Galaxy S9 and OnePlus 6T.

1. Google Pixel 3 Design

From the Google Pixel 2, Google moved to the Google Pixel 3. Google Pixel 2 has been functional and durable. The back of the Google Pixel 3 is smooth, constructed and completely out of glass and almost soft to the touch.

The viewing angles of the Google Pixel 3 are excellent. This might be the brightest display around but the brightness level of the device is great.

3. Google Pixel 3 Performance

Google Pixel 3 runs Snapdragon 845, 4GB RAM and 64GB non expandable storage. The Snapdragon 855 with 5G support might be replacing the Snapdragon 845 when it is officially announced. Google Pixel 3 is fast and stirring through anything. Games play smoothly and open fast as any other Snapdragon 845 phone. Comparing to iPhone XS, it is slower when opening the same game on it.

The audio quality is not bad. The audio quality from the stereo front facing speakers is truly excellent. When you are watching a video, the sounds aimed at you and it is not blocked by hands. The Google Assistant queries can easily be heard across a room. There is no headphone jack but there is a 3.5mm headphone jack adaptor and a pair of USB-C ear buds in the box. Google Pixel 3 has a Bluetooth 5 support.

Google Pixel 3 doesn’t have the face unlock technology but possess the fingerprint authentication.

4. Google Pixel 3 Software

Google Pixel 3 runs the Android 9 Pie. This software is the best software experience on any Android phone. Google Pixel 3 is missing the battery saving mode. The UI is simple and clean. It is fast to navigate and overbearing. The Android 9 Pie helps to monitor the phone usage. The number of time you unlock the phone daily is made known through this Android 9 Pie. It tells how many notifications received.

Android 9 Pie tweaks the notifications. It helps to group essential notifications together and make them more visible. Through the Android 9 Pie, gestures are used in navigating.

5. Google Pixel 3 Camera

If you like taking pictures using smartphone, then the Google Pixel 3 is the right tools for you to use. The quality of pictures taken by the Google Pixel 3 is astonishing. Google Pixel 3 possesses the auto-HDR features and the Pixels Visual Core.

There is also a Super Res Zoom feature. Super Res Zoom aims at offering better digital zoom. In the camera app, you will notice a 4 distinct zoom points that can be quickly jumped to. Top shot is another amazing feature of the Google Pixel 3 camera.

This feature helps to ensure a photo isn’t ruined by a rogue head or someone accidentally blinking. Every time you take shot, multiple shots are taken. Swipe up on a particular picture and scroll them all. You can delete those ones that are not useful. This feature is great especially when you don’t have much time to properly set up a shot.

On the front side of the Google Pixel 3, there are two front-facing 8 megapixel sensors to take some of the best selfies you would love to take. The front camera is excellent and features a portrait mode too as the rear camera. Dragging the zoom bar down in selfie mode ensures that you switch to the ultra wide secondary f/2.2 camera. This lacks the auto focus. The video capturing is great too, but the device lacks the 4K at 60fps (focus per seconds).

6. Google Pixel 3 Battery Life

Pixel 3 offers a 2900mAh battery capacity. Battery capacity is one of the reasons one would consider when buying a phone. Google Pixel 3 has an average battery life. An advantage of this device is that it doesn’t use as much juice in regular task as some of its bigger rivals. If you want a phone that will comfortably last the day, then you can go for the Google Pixel 3.

The wireless charging is one of the newest features of the Google Pixel 3. You can plunk the phone on a pad and top up the charge. Google is selling Pixel stand, a slick, vertical charging pad that only charges the Google Pixel 3 at 10W. The Iphone XS can only be wirelessly charged at 7.5W when compared to the Pixel 3.
